Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA)
Unity Life of Canada is a member of the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA). CLHIA member companies are required to adhere to the CLHIA Consumer Code of Ethics. This Code focuses on fair treatment of consumers through a competitive marketplace, clear and straightforward advertising, competent sales and services, and respect for the privacy of consumers.
Through the CLHIA, you can also access a number of consumer publications that offer practical tips on a wide range of life and health insurance products.
Consumer Assistance Centre (CAC)
The CAC provides information about Canadian life and health insurance industry practices, companies and their products. It handles over 35,000 consumer inquiries each year.

Assuris Consumer Protection Plan
Unity Life of Canada is a member of Assuris, an independent, not-for-profit organization established and funded by the insurance industry. Assuris administers the consumer protection plan that provides protection to the policyholders of member companies.
